The situation at the Municipal Council of Wentworth-Nord is extremely difficult and the current environment makes it very hard to focus on the best interests of the citizens of the Municipality. A huge amount of energy is being wasted due to a conflict between the Mayor and most of the Council. Read more.
Members of the public were not allowed to attend the Public session of Council due to COVID-19 guidelines established by the Provincial Government.
An important point included a resolution asking Council to support a more rapid deployment of high speed internet in the Montfort Sector.

Council Meeting - Friday Jan. 17, 2020
A very important resolution was presented and passed under the agenda item “New Business”. The project involves a major renovation of the Église Saint-Michel-de-Wentworth and where the total cost is likely to exceed $1,000,000.

Mayor's Mid-Term Report
Wentworth-Nord Budget for 2020 approved -Friday Dec. 13, 2019
General tax rate will remain the same as last year however tax increases are expected due to the increase in property evaluations in the new tax role. There is an increase of 9.17% in the total Municipal property values in the new role.
If you feel your Municipal evaluation is not reasonable, you will have 6 months to challenge your new evaluation.
